Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I’m Alison, self appointed boss of The Ashers.  At least that’s what they let me think. I started this blog because I wanted something to be really in charge of.  I used to be in control of all manner of things, then I got married and had two kids, and that all changed.  In particular I had a kid with a ‘thing’, a health condition, and I found that so many things can’t be plotted or measured or organised, yet everyone still expects dinner on time. What I do know, is that over the past ten years, my heart has opened in more ways that I would ever have imagined.  My sharp edges have softened, my breath has become deeper, and my eyes see the world in a brand new ways.  I am stronger than I thought I was, yet I still can’t send a meal back at a restaurant if it’s shit.
